Welcome to the STEM Explorers Club, where science comes alive through hands-on learning and collaborative exploration! This exciting club is designed for students to deepen their understanding of science concepts, applying the scientific method to a variety of engaging projects and experiments.

What Students Will Do:

Work Cooperatively: Collaborate with peers to tackle challenges and complete projects.
Expand Their Ideas: Discover new dimensions of what science entails and how it impacts the world.
Think Critically: Use analytical skills to solve problems and make informed decisions.
Explore & Create: Engage in creative projects and experiments that spark curiosity.
Problem Solve & Experiment: Test hypotheses and find solutions through trial and error.
Ask Questions & Make Observations: Develop a keen sense of inquiry and observation to enhance learning.

Session Highlights:

Week 1: ICE – Build ice towers, snow castles, and explore the beauty of snowflakes through fun, hands-on activities.
Week 2: Help! The Ice is Melting – Create rafts to help penguins navigate as the icebergs melt.
Week 3: Keep Warm – Discover how animals stay warm with blubber and design a cozy place to store mittens.
Week 4: Let it Snow – Make fake snow and construct the tallest snowman that stands on its own.
Week 5: Football STEM Challenge – Compete in creating field goals to see which team scores the win!
Week 6: L-O-V-E – Celebrate Valentine’s Day with heart-themed challenges like Heart Stacks, "Can You Make a Heart?" and Dancing Hearts.
Week 7: Lava Lamps – Experiment with science and create your own mesmerizing lava lamp.
Week 8: Loop Planes – Design and test loop planes to see which flies the farthest!

For the purpose of safety and monitoring of our students participating in our extra-curricular activities, it is important that parents/guardians are timely in their arrival for pick-up. If you are not currently enrolled and would like to register for Champions After School Program, CLICK HERE.

Important Details

-The credit card you provide at registration will not be charged until the first week of each session. If the minimum number of registrants is not met, your card will not be charged.
-Program fees are non-refundable and non-transferable unless there is insufficient enrollment.
-No make-ups will be scheduled for inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances.
-If a vendor is ill, all efforts will be made to arrange a make-up class.
-Parent/guardian is responsible for reminding their child of classes.
-All vendors have been cleared per Diocesan policy with respect to fingerprinting and background checks.
-There are no After School Clubs held on No School days.
-If you select a club for your child that does not begin immediately following dismissal (e.g. a class start time of 3:30pm M/T/Th/F or 2:30pm Wed.), you will be charged the Champions drop-in rate or your Champions plan will be utilized if applicable.
