Calling all creative problem-solvers! Odyssey of the Mind (OM™) is an international competition that challenges students to work as a team to design, create, and present unique solutions to imaginative problems. These challenges blend technical skills, theatrical performance, and innovative thinking, giving students the opportunity to shine in ways that match their interests and talents.
In OM, students will:
- Solve open-ended problems, encouraging creativity and out-of-the-box thinking.
- Learn teamwork, budgeting, and time management as they collaborate to build props, write scripts, and address challenges.
- Present their solutions through original plays and creative performances.
- Tackle a surprise Spontaneous Challenge, testing their ability to think quickly and solve problems on the spot.
Each team will choose a challenge, which may be theatrical, technical, or a mix of both. With a limited budget, students must gather their own materials for props, scenery, and devices—teaching them to innovate within boundaries. This hands-on experience builds public speaking skills, collaboration, and resilience while ensuring fun every step of the way!
Parents can learn more about the program at Odyssey of the Mind's official website.
Join us for a journey of creativity, teamwork, and exciting problem-solving adventures!
